I kind have to disagree with this. I own the 7S epoxy and its a totally fun board – but def not for a beginner tho.
If your a beginner IMHO you want to be riding something way bigger than the 7S unless your under 5ft tall. So a longboard, mal or atleast a much bigger fish.
Like with alot of smaller boards if your paddle fitness is not up to speed ( i.e you don’t surf atleast a few times a week) catching waves could be tricky.
The speed of the board also could be a major challenge for beginners who are used to riding foamies or longboards. You really have to work the board to surf.
That said if your at an intermediate level – can pull of some solid top and bottom turns and wanna have some fun this is a cool board.
I love the fact its so small and surfing in waist to head high beach breaks can be a blast. When it gets going this board it can feel really quick and certainly way faster than another 6′6 fish I own.
I think its an awesome surfboard!
